Week 3
We certainly have been busy! Here is a sneak peak into what we did at school last week!
We played "Simon Says" at the Crowell Lot after we got our pictures taken.
We have gotten used to using the outdoor classroom as a work space. Here the students are writing more poetry, which came out beautifully.
This is an example of our science lesson. We started the topic of "Force and Motion". Through "Mystery Science" we discussed how you could use force to win a game of "tug of war" against a bunch of grown ups and how you could smash a watermelon using only rubber bands. Ask the kids about that one, they thought it was awesome!! The experiment we did with this lesson was to make "hopper poppers". We constructed them ourselves and discussed how force made them work.
These last pictures are of the garden. We learned about basil and lemon balm. We got to harvest it and made pesto! We sampled it with crackers and most kids LOVED it. Ask your student what they thought!
