Happy Thanksgiving and mini vacation! We have remote learning today (Monday 11/23) and tomorrow. Students have vacation Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. We will resume our normal schedule next week on Monday. I want to say that I am so thankful for all of your children. They amaze me with their creativity, their kind hearts, their willingness to keep trying, and their INSANE flexibility this year. They are so caring and gentle with me and I feel their love constantly. Thank you for raising good humans. I am so thankful for each and every one of YOU. For supporting us in this crazy time; for the communication, for your understanding, and for doing the best you can to make school a priority. I literally NEED you this year, in order to teach your kids. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Here are some pictures of the kids making their "Vermonsters" as we continue to study our great state. They are watching videos, reading online articles and taking notes of differ

Hello Geckos! We have been working so hard in third grade that I forgot to take any pictures during week 9! Here is what we've been up to! When I introduced the addition way, it barely took any time for them to understand how to manipulate the numbers. They use what they know about number bonds to ten, plus greater than, less than knowledge to create "friendly ten" equations. Here are some kiddos showing of their hard work. I am so proud! In literacy we are focusing on strategies for understanding stories such as character and setting, and sequencing. We have read several stories around trading and learned how bartering through out history as evolved to using money to purchase goods. We have talked a lot about value as well. We have completed our Force

Happy November! I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween this weekend. A few reminders for you; if you need any winter gear (for anyone in the family) please let me know so I can help you with this. I have also asked that you sign up for a Parent/Teacher conference via zoom this year! Happening on Friday and next Monday. Students will be dismissed at 11:30. I sent a sign up sheet to you via email and via your students back. Please let me know a time that will work for you. Last week's pictures: We are continuing to strengthen our knowledge of place value, using different strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems. Here the students are playing games during their "get to" time. When they finish their work for the day, they have a list of choices that they can pick from. In the spirit of Halloween, in science, we talked about the importance of our skull! The students discovered that our skulls protect our brain, helps us to talk, eat and drink, hold our impo
